15 Stylish BOOT’S for Autumn-Winter

If you have missed my post’s – I’m sorry!! I have been pretty busy lately and writing blog’s can be very time consuming so it has taken a back seat for now.  Iv’e a bit of free time today so I thought, firstly I would fill you in on what I have been up to lately then we can talk fashion!

Last week I started back to work after been off for three month’s. I have been trying my best to get back into a good routine again. Let’s just say that the  alarm clock is not my friend!!! As well as getting back to work mode, two evening’s a week I am teaching and running adult art classes which has kept me busy. That saying ring’s true that when you truly love what you do it doesn’t feel like work. I feel very fortunate that I can say this about my job. At the weekend I announced the date’s for my NEW Autumn adult art evening classes which will be starting in both Letterkenny and Strandhill at the end of September and running up until the end of October so I am going to be a busy bee but I enjoy it.  I am thrilled at how quickly places have started to fill up and the interest people have in my classes – so if you have attended previous classes of mine or are coming to the Autumn beginners evening art course – thank you, thank you, thank you!!! If you would like more information or to book a place drop me an email to zaramcdaid@hotmail.com

Apart from the sudden shock to my system of getting back into work mode, we had a lovely weekend in the hills of Donegal where we visited our friends Mairead and Liam’s gorgeous new baby girl Cadhla. What a little beauty! I had been so excited to meet her and she is just the most PERFECT little thing! Then that evening we met friend’s for dinner and drink’s in our local, the bridge bar in Ramelton ( we love this pub – check it out if you haven’t been yet- delicious food, lovely atmosphere & they always have great music at the weekend’s).

We were also very excited to collect our wedding invitation’s from ‘Eventful’ on Saturday afternoon! ‘Eventful’ is a family run business based in my home town of Ramelton,  in Co.Donegal. They offer an extensive personalized service and I love how all of their designs are handcrafted in their beautiful showroom in Ramelton, using only the finest high quality material’s. If you have an idea, Roy and Claire can bring it to life for you! If you are planning a wedding and you arelooking for someone super talented to design and make your wedding invitation’s or wedding stationary I highly recommend Roy and Claire from Eventful. Check out their website EVENTFUL HERE.  Being an art teacher I had always thought I would make my own wedding invite’s when the day came.  I have made wedding invite’s in the past for friends and family members.  I am honestly SO happy that I left it up to the professionals this time. There is no way that I could have managed to create such a beautifully detailed handcrafted wedding invite myself to the standard that ‘Eventful’ did for us. We are delighted with how the final design turned out and once all of our guest’s have received their invite’s I will show you all.  It is hard to believe that there is less than four months ’til our wedding day!!!! So much to do so little time. Crazy!  Time fly’s when you are having fun!

Now, lets talk fashion!!!

This week, I started to notice it got a little bit chilly so I swapped my heeled sandals for closed toe heels and ankle boot’s. During my space time I had started looking for new boot’s online and I came across some little beauties which I thought I would share with you today.  I have included the price for each style of boot featured for you, as well as a direct link to where you can find each pair online. They are all very affordable and I have included something for everyone.

Happy shopping!

You really can’t beat a comfortable pair of black boot’s for the winter month’s.  I recently bought this patent round toe pair from NEW LOOK via the ASOS website.  They arrived last week so I have tried and tested them and can confirm that they are both comfy and stylish. The heel is not as low as it suggests in the photo’s but I am actually delighted with that as they give me a little extra height.  On Saturday night I wore them with wet look leggings and a long back top. For work I teamed them tights, a dress and a black blazer.  I prefer to wear dressy/casual yet comfortable clothes to work. I always look for comfort in footwear for work as I am always on my feet in the art room. This pair cost’s cost €37.82 and you can BUY THEM HERE.  As another option of black patent boot’s check out this beautiful pair from ASOS Engage range HERE.

Next up, I chose a neutral toned suede pair of boots from the ASOS Emmue range.  This pair would be lovely with blue, black, grey or white skinny jeans as well as tights and dresses when the weather get’s a little colder. They cost €56.75 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

I must admit, I didn’t really like over the knee boot’s last Autumn. It was only until I saw a friend wearing a pair very tastefully over her black skinny jeans with a nice blazer and shirt I realized how you could adapt them for a let’s say, classier take on this style of boots!! I spotted this flat heeled stretchy fabric over the knee pair on ASOS and I have to say they are so lovely.  They cost €60.81 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

There is something that I just love about this ‘RAID Petunia’ cut out pair of heels. I love the shape, the block heel and the stud detailing.  I would probably wear these at the weekend with wet look ankle trousers or skinny jeans. Another option would be to wear them with a nice printed black floral dress for a casual dressy look. They cost €54.04 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

There is something so quirky about this pair of festival inspired rose embroidered ankle boots from NEW LOOK.  The cost €47.28 and you can BUY THEM HERE

I have always loved this deep burgundy colour for Autumn.  I spotted this gorgeous pair on the ZARA website and fell in love with them.  They cost €39.95 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

Sticking with ZARA, I came across this gorgeous pair of black floral applique detailed pointed ankle boot’s which I think are so quirky yet chic.  They cost €89.95 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

Some people would run a mile from these silver pointed ankle boot’s but I think they are gorgeous. When it comes to styling I would tend to keep everything else very simple and let the metallic heels be the main feature of your outfit.  They are from ZARA, cost €39.95 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

How pretty are these velvet ankle boots from ZARA.  They feature faux pearls and embellishment throughout which adds a little something unique to them.  They cost €55.95 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

How gorgeous is the deep purple tone? I found this beautiful little pair of purple boot’s in RIVER ISLAND.  They cost €80.00 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

I featured this gorgeous beige and black block heel from RIVER ISLAND in a previous ‘back to school work wear inspo’ blog.  I still LOVE them.  I adore the colour block design, block heel and slip on style of this boot.  They cost €107.00 and you can BUY THEM HERE.

Check this cool pair from RIVER ISLAND out for a lovely every day casual style boot.  I love the studded western style and low block heel.  They cost €65.00 and you can FIND THEM HERE.

I love this pair of leather embroidered Chelsea boots from OFFICE. They have a really cool vintage look to them.  They cost 90sterling and you can BUY THEM HERE

Sticking with Chelsea boot’s I love this nude pair of chic chelsea boot’s from OFFICE.  They cost 88sterling and you can BUY THEM HERE.

You just can’t beat a nice brown pair of casual boot’s for Autumn/Winter.  I love this pair of Chelsea boot’s from OFFICE.  Team with jeans at the weekend and wear them to work with tights, skirts and dresses.  The low heel ensures comfort and the stretchy sides means you just slip into them and off you go!  They are currently on SALE for 38sterling and you can BUY THEM HERE.

When it comes to the Autumn month’s I dread the darker and colder evening’s but one thing I do always look forward to is Autumnal fashion –  faux fur, cosy knits, coat’s, winter accessories and of course buying NEW boot’s.  I hope this blog has given anyone on the hunt for some nice new winter boot’s inspiration.

Have a great week!
